Anton Gennadievich Yuzhakov

Ujakov Anton Gennadievich Yuzhakov, Cand. Sc. Biology, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Molecular Diagnostics.

He graduated from the FSI HVE K.I. Skryabin Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology, having defended his degree thesis on the topic of: “Phylogenetic Analysis of Field isolates of Classical Swine Fever Virus, Identified in the Former USSR in 1981–1984”. The work was carried out in the Y.R. Kovalenko All-Russia Experimental Veterinary Research Institute and D.I. Ivanovsky Research Institute of Virology.

In 2006, he entered the full-time postgraduate training program of the Biochemistry Laboratory of Y.R. Kovalenko All-Russia Experimental Veterinary Research Institute. In 2009, he defended a candidate’s dissertation on the topic: “Molecular Genetic Analysis of Vaccine and Virulent Pestvirus Strains”, was awarded the degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences at the meeting of Special Board D 001. 020. 01 of the D.I. Ivanovsky Research Institute of Virology of RAMS.

Since 2010 to present time, he has worked as a Research Scientist, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Molecular Diagnostics at the D.I. Ivanovsky Research Institute of Virology.

Research interests: reverse genetics, molecular diagnostics, virology.
