Tatiana Anatolievna Timofeeva

Laboratory Chief, Lead Researcher of the Virus Physiology Laboratory, Cand. Sc. Biology.

Tatiana Anatolievna Timofeeva graduated from the faculty of Physics of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1990. In 1990 he was employed at the D.I. Ivanovsky Research Institute of Virology of RAMS. In 1998, she successfully completed the certification cycle in the field of Virology at the State Educational Institution of Higher Vocational Education “Moscow Medical Academy named after I.M. Sechenov and received a corresponding specialist certificate in the field of Virology. In 2001, T.A. Timofeeva defended a candidate dissertation on the topic: “Structural Functional Domains of Matrix М1 Protein of the Influenza Virus” in the field of Molecular Biology. In 2003 and in 2009, T.A. Timofeeva supported her qualification under the program of certification cycle “Relevant Problems of Advanced Medical Virology” at the State Educational Institution of Higher Vocational Education “Moscow Medical Academy named after I.M. Sechenov and received a corresponding certificate. From 2005, T.A. Timofeeva worked in the position of Senior Researcher, from 2010 — Lead Researcher, and since 2014 – Chief of the Virus Physiology Laboratory. Her research interests include human and animal paramyxoviruses and influenza viruses. She takes part in both national and foreign conferences, has 33 scientific publications, including 20 articles in foreign and national journals and 1 patent. While working at the Virus Physiology Laboratory under supervision of RAS Academician, Professor N.V. Kaverin, T.A. Timofeeva was engaged in scheduled studies of the laboratory on the topic: “Molecular Genetic Basis of Virulence of Influenza Viruses, Influenza Infection Pathogenesis and origination of New Virus Variations”. For the past five years, she has been a practitioner in six projects of the Russian Foundation of Fundamental Research dedicated to studying influenza viruses. T.A. Timofeeva takes part in conferences, training of academic personnel, serves as referee and challenger of candidate dissertations. T.A. Timofeeva is awarded with the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for contribution to medicine development (2013).
