Oleg Vitalievich Sergeev
In 1988, Oleg Vitalievich Sergeev graduated from the Faculty of Biology of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University and entered the postgraduate training program at the D.I. Ivanovsky Research Institute of Virology of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. Candidate of Biological Sciences (1992), Doctor of Biological Sciences (2015). He has worked for the Laboratory of Comparative Virology of the Research Institute of Virology since 2008. The length of research and teaching work is 23 years.
O.V. Sergeev published 33 research papers; he is an author of 3 patents and guidelines of the federal level.
O.V. Sergeev’s research work is focused on development and creation of means of specific prophylaxis for viral infections, study of pathogenesis and immunity specifics in case of acute and chronical herpes infections. Studies with active participation of O.V. Sergeev enabled creation and practical application in veterinary of a live vaccine against porcine epidemic diarrhea and hyperimmune polyvalent serum against mass viral bovine diseases.
