Irina Alexandrovna Rudneva

Irina Alexandrovna Rudneva has worked at the D.I. Ivanovsky Research Institute of Virology of RAMS since 1966 after graduation from the Faculty of Biology of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 1970, she defended a candidate’s dissertation; from 1984 to 2004, she worked in the position of Senior Researcher. Since 2004 to present time, she has worked in the position of Lead Researcher. I.A. Rudneva is a highly qualified specialist in the field of virology and molecular genetics of viruses and leads the team work. I.A. Rudneva’s scientific work is focused on completion of scheduled topics of the laboratory: “Antigen Structure of Influenza A and Impact of Its Variations on Functional and Immunoprotective Characteristics of the Virus” (2000–2005) and “Molecular Genetic Basis of Virulence of Influenza Viruses, Influenza Infection Pathogenesis and origination of New Virus Variations” (2006–2012).

I.A. Rudneva takes part in implementation of projects of the Russian Foundation of Fundamental Research as a leader and practitioner. I.A. Rudneva is an author of 134 papers and 5 patents. I.A. Rudneva is an independent researcher with vast experience of scientific work, exquisite workmanship in development of technical approaches, scientific intuition and observation skills. I.A. Rudneva is characterized by highly intensive work, proactivity and responsibility. She takes part in training of postgraduate students, supervising scientific experiments. I.A. Rudneva is awarded with the Medal for Veteran of Labor for long-lasting and conscientious work. I.A. Rudneva is awarded with the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for contribution to medicine development (2013).
