Alla Arnoldovna Lazarenko

Alla Arnoldovna Lazarenko, Cand. Sc. Biology, Lead Researcher; since 1966, she has worked for the D.I. Ivanovsky Research Institute of Virology, and currently she works at the Comparative Virology Laboratory of FSBI N. F. Gamaleya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. In 1973, she graduated from the Moscow Pedagogical Institute in the field of Biology and Chemistry. In 1985, she defended a candidate’s dissertation on the issue of bovine leukemia virus in the field of Virology.

Since joining the Laboratory of Comparative Virology, A.A. Lazarenko has been one of the main employees working with viruses of the second pathogenicity group. The area of her scientific interests concerns the issue of development and study of diagnostic and preventive products in therapy of diseases induced by herpes and arbovirus infections, as well as preventive and therapeutic impact of studied drugs in case of concomitant use with specific vaccines.

A.A. Lazarenko is a member of the All-Russian Research and Practice Society of Epidemiologists, Microbiologists and Parasitologists, takes an active part in Russian and international conferences, meetings on the issue of prevention and therapy of infectious diseases; she is a co-author of two patents and guidance documents of the federal level, and has published 90+ research papers in co-authorship.
