Elena Valerievna Kazennova
Elena Valerievna Kazennova is a Lead Researcher of the Leukemia Viruses Laboratory, Doctor of Biological Sciences.
In 1980, she graduated from the Medical and Biological Faculty of the Second Moscow Order of Lenin State Medical Institute named after N. I. Pirogov (Moscow) in the field of Biochemistry. Since 1984, she has been a fellow of the D. I. Ivanovsky Research Institute of Virology of RAMS (Junior Research Fellow, Senior Researcher, Lead Researcher). The main field of her research interest is molecular epidemiology of HIV infection, and drug resistance of HIV-1. E.V. Kazennova is a co-author of 200+ research papers, 4 inventor’s certificates and patents for inventions. E.V. Kazennova continuously takes part in holding seminars on drug resistance of HIV for Infectious Disease Physicians, epidemiologists and Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory doctors in Regional HIV Centers of Russia and CIS. She was awarded with a certificate of Honor of the RF Ministry of Health in 2012.
