Tatyana Vladimirovna Grebennikova

Tatyana Vladimirovna Grebennikova graduated from the Chair of Biochemistry of the Biological Department of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University with honors.

In 1995, she defended her thesis for the candidate of biological sciences degree on the topic of Isolation and Cleaning of Thermally Stable Tth DNA Polymerase, Exploration of Its Properties and Using It in the RNA Molecule Detection Methods at the meeting of Specialized Council D.053.05 32 at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University.

In 2006, she defended her thesis for the doctor of biological sciences degree on the topic of Molecular and Genetic Analysis and Functionally Important Genetic Mutations of the Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus at the Meeting of Specialized Council D 001. 020. 01 at D.I. Ivanovsky Institute of Virology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.

Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Diagnostics and Lead Researcher of D.I. Ivanovsky Institute of Virology of N.F. Gamaleya Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Ministry of Healthcare, has been working in the Institute since February 2000. In 2009, she was granted the academic rank of an associate professor in molecular biology.

In 2010, she was granted the academic rank of a professor in the Chair of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry. Since 2014, she has been a responsible secretary of the editorial team of the Problems of Virology journal. Grebennikova is an author of more than 190 publications, study guides and patents, including a co-author of 6 monographs. Grebennikova's interests are concentrated in the area of Biochemistry, molecular biology, molecular medical and veterinary virology, including in the sphere of reverse genetics of viruses and development and building of test systems based on molecular and immunochemical methods. Developer of more than 35 various PCR and real-time PCR test systems. Tatyana Grebennikova has actively participated in international projects: ISTC, INTAS, specifically, as a manager. The projects have been implemented jointly with the following organizations: ARS, USDA: National Animal Disease Center, Ames, Iowa, US, ARS, USDA: Plum Island Animal Disease Center, New York, NY, US, ARS, USDA: Poultry Disease and Oncology Laboratory, East Lansing, Michigan,US, ARS, USDA: South East Poultry Research Laboratory, Athens, Georgia, US, Central Veterinary Laboratory, UK.

Currently, she is working at the project of New Visby Network 2014–2016 "Towards Healthy Liver -– the Crossroads of Viral Hepatitis, Alcohol Use and Life Style Patterns" Workpackage (WP2) "Epidemiology: Detection and Identification of Liver Pathogens" with the Karolinska Institute (Sweden). She is a coordinator of the educational cluster of the Baltic Networks.

Tatyana Grebennikova is also involved in pedagogical activities, is an author of instructional guides for students as well as guidance papers. She is the supervisor of 6 post-graduate students and students preparing their degree theses, including those whose degree theses have been successfully defended and distinguished. Tatyana Grebennikova is giving lectures in the Medical Institute of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, the Academy of Post-Graduate Studies as well as at skill improvement courses for veterinary and medical practitioners. Tatyana Grebennikova is awarded the medal "In Commemoration of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow" and D.I. Ivanovsky award diploma of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.

In 2016, professor Grebennikova was elected a correspondent member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
